Terms of Service

Welcome to Ukando. These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the Ukando website and platform (the 'Service'), operated by Ukando ('we', 'us', 'our'). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Ukando Is

Ukando is a marketplace that connects 'Learners' who want a custom video with 'Experts' who make that video for a fee. Ukando facilitates the connection and payment between Learners and Experts but does not itself create, direct, or guarantee the content of any video.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use Ukando.

3. Pricing & Fees

Experts set their own price for each video. Ukando adds a service fee (currently 12%) shown as a separate line item at checkout. The total amount is charged to the Learner at the time a request is submitted.

4. Payments & Payouts

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Funds are held by Ukando until a video is marked as delivered. Experts are currently paid out manually by Ukando after delivery is confirmed; this process may be automated in the future.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• If a Expert cancels a request, the Learner receives an automatic full refund.
• If a Learner cancels before the Expert has marked the request 'in progress,' the Learner receives an automatic full refund.
• Once a Expert has marked a request 'in progress,' it can no longer be cancelled for a refund.
• If a Expert becomes unresponsive after a Learner reports an issue, Ukando will contact the Expert and allow 24–48 hours for a response before issuing an automatic refund.
• If a video is delivered later than the stated turnaround time, 10% of the Expert's payout is deducted per calendar day late and credited back to the Learner, up to a maximum penalty, beyond which the order is treated as non-delivered and fully refunded.
• If a video is delivered on time but the Learner is unsatisfied with its quality, Ukando does not offer a refund on that basis alone; the Learner may request one free revision from the Expert.

6. Expert Responsibilities

Experts agree to deliver videos that reasonably match the Learner's request, within the stated turnaround time, and to communicate promptly if an issue arises. Experts may not use Ukando to deliver content that is unsafe, illegal, sexually explicit, or otherwise violates these Terms.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use Ukando to harass, defraud, or harm others; to request or deliver illegal content; to circumvent Ukando's payment system; or to misrepresent your identity or qualifications.

8. Limitation of Liability

Ukando is a platform that facilitates transactions between Learners and Experts. Ukando is not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or quality of any advice or content provided by a Expert. Use any advice at your own discretion, particularly for anything involving physical activity, health, or safety.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Ukando after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
