When you use Ukando, we collect:
- Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Profile information: for Experts, this includes bio, niche, pricing, and sample videos you provide.
- Request information: instructions and details you submit when requesting or delivering a video.
- Payment information: processed directly by Stripe. Ukando does not store your full card details.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and general usage patterns, used to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate and maintain the Ukando marketplace
- Process payments and payouts
- Communicate with you about your requests, orders, or account
- Improve and secure the Service
- Respond to support requests or disputes
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With Stripe, to process payments
- With Supabase, our database and authentication provider, to securely store account and request data
- Between a Learner and Expert directly involved in a specific request, as necessary to complete that request
- If required by law

Your data is stored securely using Supabase and protected with industry-standard practices, including row-level security policies that restrict access to only the data relevant to you. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
5. Your Choices
You may update your account information at any time, or contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or financial purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
Ukando is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Ukando after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
